BEVERLY, MA - Endicott College will open the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament with a first round match-up against Oneonta State on Saturday, November 10th on the campus of Western Connecticut State University.
One-year removed from its "Sweet 16" NCAA Tournament run, Endicott will return to the national stage on Saturday. The Gulls (16-5-0) were awarded the automatic berth to the field of 60 with their fifth-consecutive The Commonwealth Coast Conference title on Sunday afternoon as they defeated Roger Williams University, 1-0, in overtime.
Endicott's first round opponent will be a formidable challenge in Oneonta State. The Red Dragons (17-3-1) defeated Cortland State, 3-1, to capture the SUNYAC title. Oneonta, winners of the 2003 National Championship, has won eight of the last nine SUNYAC crowns.
The Gulls and the Red Dragons are scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. start time in Danbury, Conn. on the campus of Western Connecticut State University. The winner will play at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
