SPRINGFIELD, MA - Sophomore defender Kellie Lajoie (York, ME/York) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Co-Player of the Week after leading EC to a pair of TCCC wins.
Lajoie had an impressive week for the Blue and Green scoring two goals and adding two assists in a 6-1 win over UNE, and then notching the game-winner in a 2-0 win over Wentworth. For the week she totaled eight points on three goals and two assists.
On the year Lajoie has scored six goals and added two assists. Her 14 points is second only to Caitlin Flynn (Southold, NY/Mattituck) who has tallied 18 points.
EC went 2-0 last week and improved to 7-4 overall and 6-1 in conference play. The Gulls return to action Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 pm when they host rival Gordon College on the turf.
