SPRINGFIELD, MA - Defending Commonwealth Coast Champion Endicott has been selected as the favorite to win the 2007 Commonwealth Coast Conference women's soccer Championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the league's head women's soccer coaches.
Endicott (19-4-1, 11-1 TCCC) received 13-of-the-14 first-place votes in the 2007 TCCC preseason poll. Gordon was selected by the coaches as the runner-up in the conference, while Roger Williams and Curry were picked to finish third and fourth, respectively. Western New England, picked to finish fifth in the conference, received the only remaining first-place vote as they enter the program's first season of TCCC competition.
Teams received 14 points for every first place vote received, 13 points for second place votes, 12 points for third place votes, down to one point for a last place vote. First place votes are shown in parenthesis.
