Final Stats

BEVERLY, MA - Erica Hunt (Colchester, VT/Colchester) and Paula McGinn (Lynn, MA/Lynn Classical) each scored a pair of goals as Endicott rolled to a 7-0 win over Eastern Nazarene in TCCC action Thursday night.

Endicott opened the scoring early when Margreta Weber (Bedford, NH/Manchester West) floated a shot over Crusaders goalkeeper Brittany Hardie (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) from 20-yards out, making it 1-0 in favor of the Gulls. The Blue and Green made it a two score game later in the first half when Hunt drove a shot through traffic and past Hardie.

EC dominated play in the first half out shooting ENC 20-1 and controlling the tempo of the game. Sarah Miller (Nashua, NH/Bishop Guertin) and Kelly Cosgrove (Sandwich, MA/Sandwich) once again anchored the EC defense and helped build the Gulls attack by getting the ball wide. Despite Endicott's overwhelming offensive presence Hardie kept the Crusaders in the game making nine saves sending the Gulls to the halftime break with only the two goal cushion.

The Gulls came out of the intermission looking add to their lead and would do so netting five goals in the second half. Hunt got things in motion when she made it 3-0 just over a minute into play when she took a feed from Weber and chipped a shot into the far corner of the goal.

Senior captain Margreta Weber had a phenomenal day as she found Ashley Clark (E. Kingston, NH/Pentucket) in front of the ENC goal to make it 4-0, Weber would finish the game with four points on a goal and a pair of assists.

McGinn got in on the scoring barrage with back-to-back goals, the first coming when she rifled a shot off the goalkeeper and into the net in the 55th minute and the second just 10-minutes later to make it 6-0 in favor of the hosts.

Freshman Karyn Plate (Sanford, ME/Sanford) found herself all alone behind the Crusader defense and scored her fourth goal of the season in the 80th minute to seal the 7-0 victory for Endicott.

Eastern Nazerene falls to 4-12-1 overall and 1-9-1 in TCCC play while the Gulls improve to 12-4 overall and 10-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Crusaders return to action on Saturday when they host Wentworth Institute of Technology at 12:00 p.m. The Blue and Green look forward to a much anticipated Homecoming match-up with TCCC leader Western New England College on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
