BEVERLY, MA - Margreta Weber (Bedford, NH/Manchester West) and Karyn Plante (Sanford, ME/Sanford) combined for four goals and an assist as the Gulls rolled to a rain-soaked 10-0 win over Regis College in a TCCC match-up on Thursday afternoon.
Winners of their last three, the Gulls entered the game wanting to continue their winning streak and didn't have to wait long as Caitlin Flynn (Southold, NY/Mattituck) scored before the three minute mark. The sophomore would finish the game with two scores, both coming in the first 15 minutes of play.
The Blue and Green added five more goals before the half was over and in total seven different players found the back of the net. Weber and Plante each added two goals, while Melissa Hicks (Enfield, CT/Enfield), Erica Hunt (Colchester, VT/Colchester), Sarah Miller (Nashua, NH/Bishop Guertin) and Paula McGinn (Lynn, MA/Lynn Classical) all scored for the Gulls.
Regis goalkeeper Megan O'Donnell (Everett, MA/Everett) faced 24 shots on goal and turned away 15 of them while Endicott goalkeepers Amy Meuse (Saugus, MA/Saugus) and Nicole Lawlor (Mansfield, MA/Mansfield) split time in net for the shutout.
The Gulls improve to 9-4-0 overall, 8-1-0 in conference, and look to continue rolling in TCCC play when they host Nichols College on Saturday, October 13 at home. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
The loss drops the Pride to 0-14-0 overall and 0-10-0 in the TCCC but get a chance to rebound against conference opponent Curry College on Saturday. That game will be played at Curry and is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m.
