Sharp Heads Up Endicott CCC All-Conference Award Winners

Beverly, MA - Senior Cathy Sharp (Rutland, VT/Rutland) enjoyed an unbelievable four-year career at Endicott College and this spring Sharp played like her name. But not only was she sharp, the senior was downright unstoppable.

Saturday she was honored as the CCC's Player of the Year and earned a spot on the First Team All-Conference team.

Sharp saved her best efforts for the CCC Tournament, where she guided the Gulls to their first-ever CCC Championship. She netted 16 goals in three playoff games, including seven goals in the title-clinching victory over Curry College (16-12).

Entering the postseason, Sharp ranked 20th in the nation in goals per game (3.69) and the CCC Player of the Week for the Week 7, has amassed a CCC-best 75 goals in 19 contests.

Sophomore Emily Judd (Peabody, MA/Peabody), a dangerous two-way player, was honored as the CCC Defensive Player of the Year. The CCC First Team All-Conference nominee who ranked 8th in the nation in caused turnovers per game (3.13), led the CCC with 58 caused turnovers, including eight during EC's race to the crown. The 5-for-9 midfielder has scooped up 86 ground balls, which is also among the very best in all of Division III.

Junior goalkeeper Erin Curry (Hampstead, NH/Gould Academy) drew accolades from the CCC as well after ranking in the top 20 in Division III in goals against average (7.66 entering the postseason). She was named to the CCC second team while senior attack Susie Neikirk (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville), freshman midfielder Sara Gunter (Kennebunk, ME/Kennebunk), and freshman defender Molly Moss (Yarmouth, ME/North Yarmouth Academy) were All-Conference Honorable Mention selections.

Neikirk was second on the team in scoring with 26 goals and 12 assists, while Gunter's 38 goals ranked second for Gulls. She also handed out five assists, caused seven turnovers and recorded 34 ground balls. Moss put home 10 goals and assisted on two others and caused 21 turnovers.
