BALTIMORE, MD - Endicott College women's lacrosse played hard all afternoon in their first game of the season but could not come up with a win, losing a double overtime thriller to Villa Julie College, 13-11.
Cathy Sharp (Rutland, VT/Rutland) scored with one second left in the first overtime to send the game to a second overtime.
Playing well for the Gulls on the afternoon were Sara Gunter (Kennebunk, ME/Kennebunk) who had three goals on three shots, Sharp who had two goals, an assist and six groundballs, and Emily Judd (Peabody, MA/Peabody), who had a team high seven groundballs.
Playing well for Villa Julie (2-1) were Colleen Baughman and Julie Olson who had four goals apiece and Kaitlyn Brzozowski, who had 14 saves.
The Gulls (0-1) have a break before their next game against Keene State March, 8 2006 at 4:00pm in Keene, NH.
