DUDLEY, MA - Endicott netted the first nine goals of the game in a 19-3 victory over Nichols College, Saturday afternoon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference women's lacrosse game.
Susie Neikirk (Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville) captained the Gulls' offensive onslaught, netting six goals in Endicott's ninth straight win. The Gulls are now 9-1 overall and 4-0 in the CCC while the Bison dropped to 1-6 overall and 1-3 in the CCC.
Sophomore attack Sara Stevens (Sidney, ME/Messalonskee) and freshman attack Kate Colley (Wells, ME/Wells) each notched hat tricks for the visitors while leading scorer Cathy Sharp (Rutland, VT/Rutland), who has amassed 34 goals in 10 contests, and Emily Judd (Peabody, MA/Peabody) put home two goals apiece.
Freshman Molly Moss (Yarmouth, ME/North Yarmouth Academy), freshman Eleanor Whitcomb (Lyme, NH/Northfield Mt. Hermon), freshman Shiori Tachiwana (Kanagawa, Japan/Sakae Institute) and Heather Hatfield (Tyngsboro, MA/Tyngsboro) all got in the scoring column for Endicott, which got great goaltending from junior Erin Curry (Hampstead, NH/Gould Academy).
The Gulls will begin a three-game homestand beginning Monday afternoon versus Mt. Holyoke (4). Endicott will also host CCC opponents Colby-Sawyer (Wednesday at 4) and Regis (Saturday at 1).
