KEENE, NH - Endicott senior Cathy Sharp (Rutland, VT/Rutland) notched four goals and assisted on another to help the Gulls get past Keene State, 9-6, Wednesday in non-conference lacrosse action.
Endicott (1-1) scored four of the first five goals in the second half to break open the game. The schools were deadlocked at 3-3 at the end of the first half, but Sharp and Shiori Tachiwana (Kanagawa, Japan/Sakae Institute) each scored twice, powering EC to a six-goal second half and the 9-6 victory.
Junior goaltender Erin Curry (Hampstead, NH/Gould Academy) turned away 12 shots to earn the win while Heather Hatfield (Tyngsboro, MA/Tyngsboro), Alex Pearce (Underhill, VT/Kimball Union Academy) and Emily Judd (Peabody, MA/Peabody) paced the offense with one goal apiece.
Endicott will play its first home contest of the season Friday afternoon (4) when its hosts the University of Southern Maine.
