BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team defeated Babson, 6-5, in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.
WP (10-3): Jaylin Couto (Taunton, Mass.) – 4 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 3 K
LP (1-4): Nicole Sestito (Sea Girt, N.J.) – 6 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 2 K
Endicott extended its winning streak to four straight games despite a valiant comeback attempt by the Beavers.
Lindsay Joubert (Haverhill, Mass.) and Raven Comtois (Milford, N.H.) highlighted the offense with two RBI apiece.
Joubert launched a two-run homer to left center in the second to give the Gulls a 2-1 lead, at the time.
Meanwhile, Comtois notched an RBI single in the third (3-1) and plated the eventual game-winning run in the fourth with a double to right center (6-1).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Third career homer for Joubert.
- Endicott improved to 7-2 at home.
- The Gulls evened up the all-time series against Babson at 13-13-1.
