Comtois, Couto Earn CCC Weekly Honors

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott softball student-athletes Raven Comtois (Milford, N.H.) and Jaylin Couto (Taunton, Mass.) have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, as announced by the league earlier today.

Comtois was named CCC Player of the Week, while Couto received CCC Pitcher of the Week accolades.

RAVEN COMTOIS | SR. | C

Last week for the Gulls (April 17-23), Comtois was nearly impossible to put out as she reached base safely 12 times in 15 plate appearances.

She had four straight multi-hit games, including back-to-back three-hit performances against No. 25 MIT.

Comtois batted .769/.800/1.308 on the week with three runs scored and three RBI. She also had a double and two home runs, while walking twice.

The Gulls had a 3-1 week thanks in part to Comtois' bat.

This is Comtois' second career CCC Player of the Week award (5/9/22).

JAYLIN COUTO | JR. | P

Meanwhile, Couto pitched a pair of complete game shutouts in the circle for Endicott last week.

Couto was especially impressive against No. 25 nationally-ranked MIT on Tuesday (April 18) as she allowed just two hits to the Engineers, walking none and striking out five.

She followed up that performance by tossing a five-hit CCC shutout against Roger Williams on Saturday (April 22).

This is Couto's fourth career CCC Pitcher of the Week honor (5/2/22, 5/9/22, 3/20/23).
