Men’s Soccer Stymies Springfield, 2-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team defeated Springfield, 2-0, in non-conference action on Tuesday night at Hempstead Stadium.

Joe Mepham (Sudbury, Mass.) and Tiago Frazao (Trumbull, Conn.) scored in the 12th and 86th minutes, respectively, to push the Gulls' record at The Nest to 6-1-1 on the season.

In goal, Kyle Rosa (Norton, Mass.) stopped two shots to register his second clean sheet of the season (2-0-1 overall).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 3-2 in its last five matches against Springfield.
  • The Gulls are also 3-1-1 in their last five matches this season.
  • Frazao and Mepham rank first (5) and second (4) on the team in goals this fall, respectively.
  • Mepham leads the squad in points with 15 total on the season.

Endicott (7-3-2) travels to Salve Regina on Saturday, October 8 at 1 PM. Springfield (2-6-2) hosts Wheaton (Mass.) this Saturday at 3 PM.
