Men's Soccer Bests Albertus Magnus, 1-0

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team downed Albertus Magnus, 1-0, in non-conference action on Thursday night at Hempstead Stadium.

Early in the contest, Jason Brodeur (Hanson, Mass.) knocked home the lone goal of the game at the 6:25 mark via a penalty kick to give the Gulls the upper hand.

From there, Endicott's stifling defense put the clamps on the Falcons en route to its first shutout of the season.

Meanwhile, in goal, Kevin Pelletier (Topsfield, Mass.) recorded two saves in his collegiate debut. 

BEYOND THE BOX

  • With tonight's win, the Gulls took the lead in the all-time series over the Falcons (2-1-0). 
  • Brodeur leads Endicott in goals scored (2). 
  • Endicott outshot Albertus Magnus 15-8. 
  • The Gulls are 2-0-1 at The Nest this season. 
  • Endicott ended Albertus Magnus' undefeated streak to start the season (2-0-1 prior to tonight).
