Men's Ice Hockey Set To Host Endicott Holiday Invitational This Weekend

DIRECTIONS | LIVE STATS | VIDEO

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's ice hockey team will host the inaugural Endicott Holiday Invitational this Saturday and Sunday, January 7-8, at Raymond J. Bourque Arena. The Invitational will feature three other teams including Neumann University, Plymouth State University, and Tufts University. All four games in the invitational will feature live stats and live video.

The Endicott Holiday Invitational will kick off with Endicott facing No. 11/15 nationally ranked Neumann at 1:30 p.m., followed by Tufts and Plymouth St. at 5:00 p.m. On Sunday, the two winning teams from Saturday's contests will play in the championship game at 3:30 p.m. The consolation game will be played at 12:00 p.m.

Endicott (8-2-2) checks into the invitational currently riding an eight-game winning streak, breaking the previous record of five which the team achieved twice last year. The Gulls also head into Saturday's action fresh off a regular series sweep with cross-town rival Salem State.

Neumann (10-3-1) comes to Raymond J. Bourque Arena ranked No. 11 nationally in the latest USCHO.com poll and No. 15 in the D3hockey.com poll. The Knights have faced a challenging schedule thus far in their 2016-17 campaign with three games against nationally ranked opponents, and have a record of 1-2 in those contests. In their most recent matchup, the Knights defeated Plattsburg St. (N.Y.) 7-1.

The Jumbos (6-2-1) are coming off a 3-1 victory against NESCAC conference opponent Colby and are looking to start the New Year with some quality wins after a month that saw two victories, a loss, and a tie before the holiday break.

Plymouth State carries a 6-4-1 record coming into Saturday's action, and look to bounce back from a 3-3 tie in an out of conference matchup with Castleton State University.

Tickets for Saturday and Sunday's action are priced at $5 for Adults, $3 for seniors, and free admission for children 12 and under. The Endicott Holiday Invitational is free for Endicott students who show their campus ID upon entry. You must purchase a separate ticket for Saturday and Sunday's respective contests.

The Raymond J. Bourque Arena is located at 300 Hale Street Beverly, MA 01915. Any further questions can be answered by contacting Jay Lilly, our Director of Arena Operations.
