Aldridge, Costello Named To D3hockey.com Team Of The Week

D3HOCKEY.COM TEAM OF THE WEEK RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott men's ice hockey student-athletes Kevin Aldridge (Birmingham, Mich.) and Connor Costello (Nottingham, N.H.) have both been named to the D3hockey.com Team of the Week for their efforts in games played from January 2-8. Aldridge was named the D3hockey.com Goaltender of the Week, while Costello was one of two defensemen picked to the squad.

The D3hockey.com Team of the Week honors the best performances among the nation throughout the NCAA Division III hockey landscape. D3hockey.com Team of the Week nominees are submitted by their college's Sports Information Directors and selected upon by the D3hockey.com Staff.

Earlier this week, Aldridge was also tabbed the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Goaltender of the Week, and Costello was picked as the conference's Player of the Week.

D3HOCKEY.COM GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK

Aldridge went 3-0-0 last week with a 2.00 goals-against average and .946 save percentage. After turning away 22 shots in a 4-2 win over Salem State on Tuesday, Aldridge posted back-to-back 42-save performances. The first 42-save game came in the Gulls' 4-3 win over No. 11/15 Neumann in the opening round of the Endicott Holiday Invitational. In the championship game, the Endicott junior turned aside 42 shots from Plymouth State leading the Gulls to the 5-1 win.

D3HOCKEY.COM DEFENSEMEN OF THE WEEK

Costello was on the scoresheet in all three games for Endicott last week as the Gulls went 3-0-0. After recording an assist in a 4-2, non-conference victory over Salem State, Costello scored a goal and assisted on two others to help the Gulls to a 4-3 win over No. 11/15 Neumann in the opening round of the Endicott Holiday Invitational. The three points set a career-high for the Endicott junior. Costello closed out the week with a goal in the Endicott Holiday Invitational Championship, which the Gulls won 5-1.
