Logan Day Earns Weekly Honors From The CCC & D3hockey.com

Logan Day awaits a face-off.

CCC WEEKLY RELEASE | D3HOCKEY.COM TEAM OF THE WEEK RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott sophomore defenseman Logan Day (Seminole, Fla.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week, and also earned a spot on the D3hockey.com Team of the Week for his efforts in games played from February 13-19.

Day compiled six points last week as he helped the Gulls close out the regular season with a pair of conference wins allowing them to claim the inaugural CCC men's ice hockey regular season championship. Four of Day's points came in a win over Western New England (2/16/17) when he scored a hat trick and added an assist. The hat trick from Day was the second three-goal game in program history, and the first-ever by a defenseman.

Meanwhile in the regular-season finale against Becker on February 18, the sophomore defenseman added two more helpers.

The CCC Player of the Week is picked by the league's assistant commissioner, while the D3hockey.com Team of the Week honors the best performances among the nation throughout the NCAA Division III hockey landscape. D3hockey.com Team of the Week nominees are submitted by their college's Sports Information Directors and selected upon by the D3hockey.com Staff.

No. 7/9 Endicott (20-3-2) takes on Western New England University (8-15-2) in the CCC Tournament Quarterfinals on Saturday, February 25 at 2:50 PM at Raymond J. Bourque Arena. Saturday's matchup will feature the No. 1 (Endicott) and No. 8 (Western New England) seeds in the conference tournament.
