D3HOCKEY.COM TEAM OF THE WEEK RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman Michael Heidkamp (Marietta, Ga.) has been named to the D3hockey.com Team of the Week for his efforts in games played from December 4-11.

Last Saturday against Salem State University, Heidkamp picked up two assists, one of which was the primary assist on the game-winner, in the Gull's 6-0 win over the Vikings. The freshman defenseman also finished the game with a plus-two rating.

Heidkamp was one of two defensemen named to the D3hockey.com Team of the Week, which honors the best performances among the nation throughout the NCAA Division III hockey landscape. D3hockey.com Team of the Week nominees are submitted by their college's Sports Information Directors and selected upon by the D3hockey.com Staff.

Additionally, Heidkamp is only the second student-athlete in program history to earn D3hockey.com Team of the Week honors. He now joins Cam Bleck (Lake Forest, Ill.) on the list, as Bleck picked up the first-ever D3hockey.com Team of the Week award in program history on January 5, 2016.

Endicott (7-2-2) returns to action on Tuesday, January 3 against Salem State on the road at 7 PM.
