BEVERLY, Mass. — The first-seeded Endicott men's basketball team will host fifth-seeded Wentworth in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) semifinals on Thursday, February 27 at 7 PM. Here's a preview of Thursday's playoff matchup.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Gulls own a 31-10 advantage over the Leopards in the all-time series. Endicott won both of the regular season matchups between the two sides, 79-65, on January 22, and 80-75 on February 25.
- Endicott holds a 4-1 advantage over Wentworth in the last five playoff meetings between the two sides. The Gulls won the most recent playoff matchup between the two sides, 83-74, in the CCC Quarterfinals on 2/20/18.
- The Gulls and Leopards have split their two CCC semifinal contests, Endicott defeated Wentworth 71-67, on 2/25/12, and the Leopards took down The Gulls, 63-61, on 2/24/11.
- Endicott is 8-2 at MacDonald Gymnasium this season, while Wentworth is 6-8 on the road.
- Endicott will look to make its 10th appearance in the CCC title game, while Wentworth will look to make its seventh appearance.
WHAT'S NEXT
The winner between Endicott and Wentworth will take on the winner of No. 6 Gordon and No. 2 Nichols in the CCC Championship game on Saturday, February 29 at the highest remaining seed (time TBD).
