Men's Basketball Downs Curry, 93-65

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's basketball team led wire-to-wire, defeating Curry College, 93-65 Wednesday night at Dr. Eleanor Meyerhoff Katz Gymnasium. 

Leading by three (15-12) at the 13:04 mark of the first half, the Gulls found another gear as Endicott produced a 34-11 run over a span of 10 minutes to open up a 26 point lead (49-23). Jordan Pettway (Bridgeport, Conn.) paced the Gulls on the run with 10 points. 

From there the Gulls never looked back, beginning the second half with a 32-12 run to earn a 34 point lead (81-47).   

Keith Brown (Pelham, N.H.) led Endicott with his team-high third double-double of the season, scoring 18 points and bringing down 12 rebounds to go along with a team-high eight assists., while Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) led all scorers with 20 points on 8-9 shooting which included a 4-5 mark from three.  

Meanwhile, Matt McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine) added 17 points, Billy Arseneault (Lynnfield, Mass.) notched 15 points and Pettway secured 14 points to go along with eight rebounds and six assists. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • The Gulls now lead the all-time series over the Colonels 26-13.
  • Endicott has won 13 in a row over Curry. 
  • All five Endicott starters were in double figures tonight for the second time this season. 
  • Arseneault's 15 points tied his career-high for Endicott.  
  • Pettway's 14 points tied a season-high. 

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (11-4, 5-1 CCC) will travel to Roger Williams on Saturday, January 18 for a 3 PM contest. Curry (4-11, 0-6 CCC) travels to Nichols on Saturday, January 18 at 3 PM.
