BOSTON, Mass. — The Endicott men's basketball team fell to Springfield College 92-82 on Friday night at the Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gym.
Keith Brown (Pelham, N.H.) paced the Gulls offense with 32 points, he also added six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Matt McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine)was second on the team in scoring with 13 points and Billy Arseneault (Lynnfield, Mass.) closely followed with 12 points. Arsenault led the team in assists with seven, rounding out the individual highlights.
Trailing by nine (63-54) with 12:09 to go, Endicott, went on a 21-13 run to get within one (76-75) at the 5:44 mark.
Brown and Jalen Echevarria (Lynn, Mass.) paced the Gulls on the run with six points each.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Brown went over the 1,500 point mark tonight becoming the third all-time scorer for Endicott with 1,514 points.
- This was the first time Endicott and Springfield had faced each other since 2006.
- The Gulls had four players in double figures.
- Jake Ross (Northampton, Mass.) led Springfield and all-scorers with 33.
Endicott (1-1) will take on Lesley in the second day of the Emmanuel Classic on Saturday, November 16 at 5:30 PM. Springfield (3-0) will face Emmanuel in the second day of the Emmanuel Tip-Off Classic on Saturday, November 16 at 7:30 PM.
