  • Women's Tennis sees NCAA Tournament run end with 5-0 loss to #5 Bowdoin

    BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Endicott women's tennis team advanced into the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in program history with a 5-0 victory over Bridgewater State on Friday, but the Gulls saw their tournament run end after a 5-0 loss to #5 Bowdoin on Saturday.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine – A dominating performance by the Endicott women’s tennis team led to the program’s first ever NCAA Tournament victory on Friday, as the Gulls shut out Bridgewater State 5-0 to advance into the Second Round of the national playoff bracket. Endicott (19-3) moves on to face the fifth-ranked team in the country and regional site host Bowdoin on Saturday morning at 11:00 am.

    NORTON, Mass. - The Endicott men's and women's tennis teams visiting Wheaton (Mass.) to face off against the Lyons in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon. The women saw freshman Suzie Newman (Dighton, Mass.) win #6 singles to score the match-winning fifth point in a 5-4 win for the Gulls while the men were swept as their record fell to 8-6.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women’s tennis team continued their spring schedule in preparation for the 2013 NCAA DIII Tournament with a home win over Springfield 8-1 at the South Campus Courts. The Gulls are now 16-3 overall and have eight days off until their next tune up on Tuesday, April 16th at Wheaton (Mass.).

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Sophomore Amy Heacox (Marion, Mass.) and freshman Brittany Potter (Bedford, N.H.) become Endicott’s first CCC Athlete of the Week award recipients in 2012 two days after the Gulls captured their second straight conference championship and their third in program history.
  • Women's Tennis Repeats as CCC Champions; Defeat Nichols 5-1

    BEVERLY, Mass.- For the second straight year, the Endicott women’s tennis team was forced to travel to Nichols for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship match after Nichols went undefeated in conference play during the regular season. Last season, Nichols defeated Endicott 5-4 before Endicott won the championship match 5-3. The regular season matchup between the two squads this year proved to have the same outcome again as Nichols won 5-4. With everything on the line for the second straight week, Endicott rose to the occasion and knocked off the #1 seed Nichols for the team’s second consecutive CCC Championship and NCAA tournament berth in the spring of 2013.
