WELLESLEY, Mass. - After an impressive season opening with over Colby-Sawyer the day before, the Gulls faltered against Wellesley with a 6-3 loss on the road.

Sophomore Amy Heacox (Marion, Mass.) accounted for two out of Endicott's three points against the Blue on Saturday, winning her No. 4 singles match in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 and her No. 3 doubles contest with partner Brittany Potter (Bedford, N.H.) 8-2.

The Gulls earned their final point of the match at the No. 2 doubles position as Emilie Cloutier (Lewiston, Maine) and Gina Pinciaro (Beverly, Mass.) handed their Wellesley counterparts an 8-5 defeat helping Endicott take a 2-1 team lead after doubles play.

In singles, however, Wellesley claimed victories in five out of six matches to complete the come-from-behind win.  Cloutier nearly won her No. 2 singles match after edging her opponent in a first set tie breaker, but dropping the final two sets.

The Blue and Green return to the hard court on Thursday when they visit GNAC rival Emmanuel for a 4:00 pm match.
