Women's Tennis remains unbeaten in conference play with win over Curry

MILTON, Mass. - The Endicott women's tennis team improved to 7-1 (4-0 CCC) after a 9-0 shutout over Curry, their second shutout over a conference opponent this season, to stay atop the CCC standings. 

The Gulls will next take on Wentworth on Tuesday, September 25th on the road.  The Leopards are 3-6 (2-2 CCC) after today 5-4 loss to Salve Regina.  

Junior Emilie Cloutier (Lewiston, Maine) won 10-3 in a third set tiebreaker to win #1 singles 6-3, 2-6, 10-3 and improve to 3-0 at the top position.  Sophomore Chrissy Martel (Westbrook, Conn.) move to 4-0 at #2 singles after handing her Colonels opponent a 6-2, 6-0 defeat.  Fellow sophomore Natalie Egbert rounded out the top three singles matches with a 6-0, 6-4 win to stand at 5-1 on the season at #3 singles.  

Sophomore Amy Heacox (Marion, Mass.) and senior captains Gina Pinciaro (Beverly, Mass.) and Rachel Fenstermaker (Somerset, Mass.) all won their singles flights in straight sets.  

In doubles play, the Blue and Green saw all three doubles duos earn impressive wins.  Martel and Egbert won 8-1 at the top spot, Cloutier and Pinciaro won 8-3 at #2 doubles, and Heacox and freshman Brittany Potter (Bedford, N.H.) triumphed 8-3 at the third position.
