Tennis wins seventh straight; Gulls beat Wentworth 9-0

BOSTON, Mass. - With their seventh straight victory, the Endicott women's tennis team improved to 5-0 in conference play after defeating Wentworth 9-0 on the road at Harvard's Beren Tennis Center.

Endicott is now 8-1 (5-0 CCC) heading into tomorrow's home match against Merrimack, scheduled for 4:00 pm.  Wentworth dropped to 3-7 (2-3 CCC).

The Gulls won their second straight CCC match via a shutout and their third overall versus conference opponents.

Four Endicott newcomers contributed in this match starting in doubles play as the freshman duo of Suzie Newman (Dighton, Mass.) and Savannah Deady (Andover, Mass.) won 8-3 over their Leopards opposition.  Later in the match, #5 singles player junior Annie Gluskin (Duxbury, Mass.) dropped only one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win to improve to 3-1 at that flight.  Freshman Sarah Hill (Topsham, Maine) made her first singles appearance of the season, winning in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 at the #6 position.  

The #2 doubles combination of sophomore Amy Heacox (Marion, Mass.) and freshman Brittany Potter (Bedford, N.H.) continued their unbeaten season, improving to 8-0 (5-0 CCC).
