Tennis seeded #2 in CCC Tournament; beat Gordon 9-0 to end regular season

WENHAM, Mass. - The Endicott women's tennis team enters the 2012 CCC Tournament as the #2 seed after finishing the regular season 11-2 (7-1 CCC).  The Gulls defeated Gordon 9-0 on Saturday as a final tune up before playoffs begin next week. 

Endicott earned a bye into the semifinal round of the CCC Tournament, along with top seed Nichols, and will play the winner of the #3/#6 match between Roger Williams and Salve Regina on Wednesday, October 10th at the South Campus Courts. 

On Saturday, Endicott rolled to a 9-0 win over Gordon thanks to stellar play across the board by the Gulls.  At the end of the regular season, sophomore Amy Heacox (Marion, Mass.) is 12-0 in singles play and 11-0 in doubles play with partner Brittany Potter (Bedford, N.H.).  Sophomore Emilie Cloutier (Lewiston, Maine) and senior Gina Pinciaro (Beverly, Mass.) are 10-1 in doubles with Cloutier sporting a 6-1 overall record in at the top singles spot.  

Sophomores Natalie Egbert (Gorham, Maine) is 11-1 in singles and 9-3 with Chrissy Martel at the top doubles flight.  Junior Annie Gluskin (Duxbury, Mass.), who won today at #5 singles versus Gordon, ends her regular season 7-3 overall.
