Fall 2012 CCC Academic All-Conference Team
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Of the 317 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) student-athletes from 10 institutions recognized on the Fall CCC Academic All-Conference list, 43 of those came from Endicott including 11 who also earned All-CCC honors for their athletic achievements this past semester.
The Fall CCC Academic All-Conference Team awards all student-athletes who are of sophomore, junior, or senior status with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher. Participants in men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s tennis, and women’s volleyball are recognized.
It is noteworthy that of the 11 student-athletes who receive athletic all-conference awards along with academic all-conference honors, two were named Player of the Year for their respective sport. Senior women’s soccer defender Caitlin Peters (Salem, N.H.), a Physical Education – Teacher Licensure major, and senior field hockey goalkeeper Taylor Teixeira (Exeter, N.H.), a Sport Management major, were both voted Defensive Player of the Year this past fall.
The CCC will recognize the spring student-athletes at the conclusion of the 2012-13 season according to the same academic standards.
