SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Endicott College senior Kate Cioffi (Essex, Vt.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women’s tennis player of the week.
 
The Gulls went 2-0 this week, as did Cioffi at \#1 singles, in a piar of wins over CCC foes Wentworth and Western New England. She added doubles victories at the \#1 spot against Wentworth with teammate Emily Annis (Hampton, N.H.) and at the \#2 spot with Christy Martel (Westbrook, Conn.) against WNE.
 
Cioffi is 7-0 in singles and 4-2 in doubles matches for the 2011 season. She has played all of her singles matches at the number one spot. In doubles, her and Annis have paired to go 3-2 at first doubles, while she now sports a 1-0 record with Martel at second doubles.
 
The  Gulls improved to 7-0 on the season and 5-0 in the CCC. They will host Emerson in a non-conference match on Wednesday before returning to conference action when Curry comes to town on Saturday afternoon.
