Women's tennis downed 6-3 by Wheaton
NORTON, Mass. - The Endicott women's tennis team lost 6-3 to Wheaton on Tuesday afternoon, dropping to 16-4 on the season.  The Gulls will take on Simmons on April 28th before they enter the NCAA Tournament.  

Wheaton sophomore Lyndsay Cooke (Bakersfield, Calif.) was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at No. 1 singles over senior Katie Cioffi (Essex, Vt.). Freshman Alexandra Marlowe (Mesa, Ariz.) scored a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles over freshman Amy Heacox (Marion, Mass.).

At No. 3 singles, sophomore Morgan Bell (Gloucester, Mass.) posted a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles over senior Emily Annis (Hampton, N.H.). Classmate Sarah Crom (Bremen, Germany) upended freshman Natalie Egbert (Gorham, Maine) 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.

Endicott junior Gina Pinciaro (Beverly, Mass.) was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at No. 5 singles over sophomore Jessica Moore (Middletown, R.I.). The Gulls took the No. 6 singles match behind freshman Chrissy Martel (Westbrook, Conn.), who defeated freshman Kathryn Burleson (Osterville, Mass.) 6-3, 6-3.  

Cooke and Marlowe were 8-0 winners at No. 1 doubles over Cioffi and Annis while Bell and Crom knocked off Egbert and senior Laura MacLeod (Mashpee, Mass.) 8-3 at No. 2 doubles. Heacox and sophomore Emily Marcello (Greenwood, Ind.) downed Burleson and Moore 8-1 at No. 3 singles.
