Matus Named CCC Offensive Player of the Week

Endicott senior Julia Matus gets a hug from a teammate after scoring against Montclair St.

BEVERLY, Mass. - Behind a three-goal week in Endicott's opening two matches, Endicott senior Julia Matus (East Greenwich, R.I.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week, as was announced by the Conference office earlier today.

Matus started her senior season with the Gulls on an offensive tear. Matus found the back of the net twice, including the eventual game-winning goal, in the season opener, a 3-0 victory against Lasell on Thursday. She followed up that performance by also scoring the Gulls' only goal in the 2-1 loss against Montclair State on Sunday. Matus currently ranks second in goals (3) and third in points (6) among all CCC student-athletes.

This is the first CCC Player of the Week honor of Matus' career.
