Beverly, MA-The Endicott College Women's Soccer Team (17-2-2) hosts Emmanuel College (12-6-2) Wednesday in the first round of the Division III NCAA Tournament. For Endicott, this marks the first time in school history it hosts an NCAA contest.
Endicott's 2-1 win over Wentworth Institute of Technology in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship earns them an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. Similarly, Emmanuel defeated Western New England College 1-0 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship and advance to the first round.
The game will be the first meeting between Endicott and Emmanuel, who is in its 5th year as a soccer program. Endicott is seeded 2nd in the New England Region, while Emmanuel is the 7th seed. Kick-off is set for 1pm, and will be in Endicott's New Athletic Stadium. Admission is \$5 for adults, \$3 for students and \$2 for children under 12 years of age.
Wednesday's winner advances to the Regional Semifinals this weekend, where they face the winner of the Amherst College (10-3-4) / Bridgewater State (9-5-3) game. First seed Wheaton College (Norton, MA) will host the Regional Final Four.
