The Endicott women's soccer team (10-2-1), defeated the Amcats of Anna Maria, 5-0. All players for the Gulls contributed to the 10th regular season win and 8th conference victory. Once again, the defenders, Jessica Scholz, Staci Wiencko, Lauren Suarez and Meghan Sneigoski were rock solid in the back.
It was the intense play of midfielder Stacey Lubas and forward Leah Walters that propelled the team into the attack mode. Lubas tallied two goals and Walters served up three assists in the match. Freshman Caitlin D'Amario notched the game winning goal at the 12th minute of play.
The squad continued to push forward for the entire game, outshooting AMC 15-2. Freshman Amy Stevens provided composure and poise as the outside midfielder for EC. Also scoring for EC were Jillian Zagura (52nd minute) and Jill DeRosa (85th minute). Sharing the shutout, were junior Sarah Nichols and freshman Tina Loguidice.
The women's soccer team resumes play at home on Wednesday October 15th when they face CCC member Gordon College. Kick-off is set for 4pm.
