The Women's Soccer team loses a close one to Keene State 1-0. The Gulls posted only their second loss this season putting an end to an eight game unbeaten streak. The Owls of Keene State controlled the pace of the game but Endicott had several chances throughout the match.
In the first half, Caitlin D'Amario was taken down in the box and awarded a penalty kick. Senior, Jessica Scholz had the chance to put EC ahead but the Owl's goalkeeper Michelle Mason made a diving save to prevent the goal.
The Owl's finished a cross in the box at the 50th minute to seal the victory. However, with 53 second left in the game it was a speedy D'Amario that dribbled through three defenders to have the last shot of the game. Endicott's best drive to tie the game was denied by the Keene State goalkeeper. Endicott goalkeeper, Sarah Nichols held off many of the Keene offensive surges making 12 saves in the loss.
Endicott is currently 7-2-1 and faces conference opponent Regis College at home Saturday with a 1pm start.
