Beverly, MA--The Endicott women's soccer team fought a hard battle today, playing Salem State College. After 110 minutes of play, the score would remain 0-0, marking the second time in two consecutive seasons where overtime was needed between the two teams.
Unable to capitalize on 10 shots, the Gulls could not find the back of the net. However, EC's defense would gain another shutout thanks to the play of junior defender Lauren Suarez. A standout player, Suarez stepped up her game, preventing Salem State from scoring. Matching the play of Suarez was junior midfielder Stacey Lubas. Lubas's ability to help on defense and offense was demonstrated in her play today.
Endicott is now 7-1-1 in regular play, and 5-0 in the conference. EC resumes play on Wednesday, October 1st at 6pm, when they travel to Keene State College.
