BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott softball freshman infielder Mia Mitchell (Medford, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
In the Gulls' 5-3 week (4-0 CCC), Mitchell slashed .296 AVG/.296 OBP/.370 SLG alongside four runs, eight hits, two doubles, and five RBI.
The freshman went 4-for-8 with a double and two RBI in a critical sweep over Western New England on Sunday afternoon.
On Tuesday, she notched the go-ahead two-run single in the sixth against Gordon in game two to break open the scoreless contest, which Endicott eventually won 4-0.
This is Mitchell's first career CCC Rookie of the Week award.
