DUDLEY, Mass. — The Endicott softball team swept Nichols, 7-0 and 4-1, in a pair of conference games on Sunday evening.

LP (8-5): Chelsea Indyk (Easthampton, Mass.) — 1 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 0 BB, 0 K

Lindsay Joubert's (Haverhill, Mass.) two-run homer in the second busted the game open (4-0 lead) and the Gulls never looked back in the contest.

Elyse Saccoccia (Coventry, R.I.) got Endicott going in the first inning via a two-run single to left field.

Joubert followed with her two-run blast before Katie Watts (Swampscott, Mass.) scored on the back end of a double steal to push the Gulls ahead 5-0 in the second.

From there, Kylyn McLaren (Rochester, N.H.) notched an RBI double and later scored on a fielding miscue to account for the remainder of the scoring in the sixth.

Couto only allowed two runners to reach scoring position in the contest (1st/2nd) and retired 12 straight batters from the end of the third up until one our remaining in the seventh.
