BEVERLY, MA - Endicott's Rachel Pearson (Gales Ferry, CT/Ledyard) batted her way to the Commonwealth Coast Conference's weekly Player of the Week award as the Gulls posted a 4-3 overall record and a 3-1 mark in conference games this past week.
The Gulls junior catcher was a force at plate as Pearson went 11-for-21 (.524 batting average) at dish, connecting on two doubles, three home runs, five runs scored and 10 runs batted in. In Endicott's four league games Pearson was 6-for-11 (.545) with two home runs and six RBI.
Endicott finished the regular season with an overall record of 27-10 and a league record of 19-3. The Gulls finished in a first-place tie with Roger Williams University, however the Hawks hold the tiebreaker in head-to-head record. The Blue and Green have been awarded the No. 2 seed entering this weeks Commonwealth Coast Conference tournament, as the Gulls will play in a second round contest Tuesday evening at 5:00 PM in Beverly, MA.
