BEVERLY, MA - Danielle Sargent (Sabattus, ME/Oak Hill) sent a two run home run over the outfield fence capping off Endicott's seventh inning comeback and giving the Gulls a walk-off, 7-5 win in game one of their double-header against Nichols College on Friday. EC would go on to take game two in convincing fashion with a 7-1 win.

The blue and green trailed 5-4 going into the bottom of the seventh in game but freshman Maria Mangine (Lockport, NY/Lockport) tied the game at five with a lead off, pinch hit home run. Jenna Lazar (Milton, MA/Milton) followed up with a single back up the middle that set the stage for reigning CCC Player of the Week, Danielle Sargent's home run that sealed Endicott's 7-5 win.

Sargent continues to shine and Coach Veilleux certainly won't regret moving her up in the batting order anytime soon as she went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and four RBI in game one. Meghan Sargent (Salisbury, MA/Triton) also had a solid game at the plate going 1-for-3 with a run scored, two RBI and a home run of her own.

Robyn Savitske (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley) gave the Gulls another strong start as she went seven innings allowing five runs on seven hits while punching out eight batters via the strike out to pick up her sixth win of the season.

Endicott made game two less nerve racking as the Gulls cruised to a 7-1 win. Nichols jumped out to a 1-0 lead scoring in the top of the first when Lauren Person (Vernon, CT/Rockville) hit an RBI single that drove in Loren Rozanski (Plainville, CT/Plainville). Endicott answered right back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first thanks to an RBI double from Danielle Sargent and an RBI ground out from Meghan Sargent.

The Gulls picked up a third run in the third inning when Casey Shanley (Billerica, MA/Billerica) hit a solo home run that bounced off the top of the right field fence before leaving the park and putting EC up 3-1. The blue and green added two more runs in the fifth inning thanks to RBI singles from Sarah Spaziano (Norton, MA/Norton) and Mangine before sealing the win with a pair of runs in the sixth that came on a two RBI double from Meghan Sargent.

Reigning CCC Rookie of the Week Jenn Elwell (Tewksbury, MA/Shawsheen Tech) grabbed her sixth win of the year after going seven innings surrendering just one run on six hits while striking out eight.

Endicott improves to 21-5 overall and 14-2 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with the wins and returns to action Saturday at noon when they head to Norton, MA for a non-conference double-header with Wheaton College. The Gulls then play CCC rivals Wentworth Institute in a conference twin bill on Sunday before returning home Monday April, 23 when they play host to Babson College at 3:30 pm.
