Endicott wins third straight, sweeps Elms
Boxscore

Beverly, Mass. – Junior outside hitter Jeremy Siden’s (Natick, Mass.) 15 kills were more than enough as the Endicott men’s volleyball team swept visiting Elms, 3-0, to win its third straight match. Classmate Jeremy Schlosser (Emmaus, Pa.) handed out a match-high 34 assists for the Gulls, who improved to 9-8 overall and 6-2 in NECVA New England division play.

Zeke Kubisch (Bethlehem, N.Y.) added nine kills, six digs, and four aces while freshman Travis Netherton (Waukegan, Ill.) chipped in seven kills of his own.

Elms (8-9, 7-5) was led by Yonalvy Acosta’s (Holyoke, Mass.) seven kills and six digs. Freshman Daniel Lebron (San Juan, Puerto Rico) added 18 assists and eight digs in the loss.

Endicott trailed for much of game one before taking the lead for good (16-15) on a Siden kill. Kubisch served four straight points to provide a bit of breathing room for the Gulls before Schlosser finished out the set.

The hosts never trailed in game two and were led by five kills apiece from Kubisch and Netherton.
Game three featured more of the same as Endicott jumped out to a 5-1 lead and never looked back. Siden tallied seven kills in the final set alone.

Junior libero Andrew Slocum (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) led the defensive effort with 10 digs.

Endicott looks for its fourth straight when it travels to Lesley on Wednesday (Feb. 23) for an 8 pm match. Elms hosts Emerson on Sunday (Feb. 27) afternoon at 1.
