Murray, Schoen earn TCCC All-Conference

BEVERLY, Mass. - Sophomore Dan Murray (Coventry, R.I.) and junior Josh Schoen (Phoenix, Ariz.) have been named to the TCCC All-Conference team, as announced by The Commonwealth Coast Conference Commissioner Gregg Kaye on Tuesday afternoon. Voting was conducted among the conference men's tennis coaches.

Dan Murray, who was placed on the conference's First Team, was exceptional in the top singles spot for the Gulls. Murray posted an 11-6 overall record while going 10-5 in No. 1 singles for the Blue and Green. Dan is joined on the All-Conference Team by junior Josh Schoen, who earned Second Team honors after another standout season. Schoen went 11-3 overall and 10-2 in the second singles location.

The pair also combined as a formidable doubles squad. The duo went 8-6 overall and 5-2 in conference play to earn First Team doubles recognition.

Eight different institutions from The Commonwealth Coast Conference are represented on All-Conference Team. In addition to the All-Conference recognition, four major individual award winners and the team sportsmanship award winner were also selected. Salve Regina University claimed three of the four major awards, as senior Robbie Norton was named TCCC Player of the Year, freshman Trey Van Buskirk was named TCCC Rookie of the Year, and Brian Shanley was named TCCC Coach of the Year. In addition, Colby-Sawyer College senior Justin Tardif was named TCCC Senior-Scholar Athlete of the Year, while Gordon College was the recipient of the Team Sportsmanship Award.
