Florida Tech notches 9-0 win over Endicott

MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Florida Tech Panthers proved to be too strong for visiting Endicott, as the hosts posted a 9-0 win over the Gulls on Sunday afternoon in Melbourne, Florida.

Josh Schoen (Phoenix, Az.) made his first appearances of the season out of the No. 1 singles spot, falling to Jonathan Hanna (Nassau, Bahamas) 6-2, 6-0. Dan Murray (Coventry, R.I.) slipped against James McLane (Green Cove Springs, Fla.) while Devon Locke (St. Croix, Virgin Islands) dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision to D.J. Pate (Lake Alfred, Fla.). Yan Carlo Rodriguez (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico) swung past Scott Teller (Granville, N.Y.), 6-0, 6-1.

The Gulls didn't fair much better in the doubles competition, dropping all three matches to the powerful Panthers. Josh Schoen and Dan Murray put together the best teamed effort, falling 8-2 to Hanna and David Fowler (Barbados).

Endicott (1-2 overall, 0-0 TCCC) gets right back to work on Monday as they square-off with Massachusetts foe Springfield College in Melbourne, Florida.
