Endicott posts 6-3 win over Vikings

SALEM, Mass. - Endicott College took two doubles contests and then won four of six in singles play, notching a 6-3 win over North Shore rival Salem State College on Wednesday afternoon. Endicott has now won four-straight matches, improving its record to 5-2 overall.

SSC (1-3) received singles victories from sophomore Adrien Malosse (Triel Sur Seine, France) in the No. 1 spot (6-7, 6-0, 6-1) and freshman Alex Eisath (Renon, Italy) at No. 6 (6-1, 6-3). Malosse teamed with sophomore Rob Random (Newbury) at No. 1 doubles to post a 9-8 pro set victory.

The Gulls received singles victories from Josh Schoen (Phoenix, Ariz.) at No. 2 (6-4, 6-3); Devon Locke (St. Croix, Virgin Islands) at No. 3 (2-6, 6-2, 6-4); Scott Teller (Granville, N.Y.) at No. 4 (6-2, 6-2); and Marc Maloney (Feeding Hills, Mass.) (6-1, 6-2). EC also won the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches with Locke and Gabriel Moraga (Marlborough, Conn.) combining for an 8-6 pro set win at No. 2, and Maloney and Teller posting an 8-1 victory as the visitor's No. 3 tandem.

SSC's next match will be Saturday, March 29 at 1:00 pm when the Vikings take on the Anchormen of Rhode Island College in a Little East Conference contest. Endicott takes the courts on the same day as it begins The Commonwealth Coast Conference play against Eastern Nazarene, also at 1:00 p.m.
