Men's tennis tops Nichols, 7-2

DUDLEY, Mass. - The Endicott College men's tennis team upped its over record to 9-2, a win total that evens the best mark in program history, as the Gulls glided past Nichols College, 7-2, in TCCC action on Wednesday afternoon in Dudley, Mass. The win is Endicott's eighth-straight.

The Gulls quickly jumped ahead to a 3-0 lead as the Blue and Green swept their way through doubles competition. Nichols' freshmen Tyler McLaughlin (Hollis, N.H.) and Dave Buonaiuto (East Greenwich, R.I.) recorded the only Bison wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Endicott's Dan Murray (Coventry, R.I.) stuck to his strong play, dominating No. 1 singles action, 6-2, 6-1.

Gabriel Moraga (Malborough, Mass.), Marc Maloney (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and Scott Kitchen (Norwell, Mass.) each closed out the match by winning their respective singles matches for the visitors. The Gulls are now 9-2 overall and a perfect 4-0 in TCCC play.

Endicott returns to action on Friday afternoon as it heads to Quincy, Mass. to meet the Crusaders of Eastern Nazarene at 3:30 p.m.
