CCC CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 1 Endicott Hosts No. 2 Gordon On Saturday Afternoon

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer has advanced to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship for the second time in three seasons. The Gulls will host Gordon on November 4.

THE MATCHUP: The Gulls currently have an overall record of 12-4-3 and finished with a 6-1-2 record in conference play. They will host second-seeded Gordon on Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. in Hempstead Stadium. Previously, the two teams met on Saturday, Oct. 7 and that game resulted in a 0-0 double overtime tie.

POSTSEASON HISTORY: This is the eighth straight season that Endicott has qualified for the conference tournament. Head coach Joe Calabrese looks to lead his squad to its first-ever CCC title in program history.

NO. 1 ENDICOTT (12-4-3, 6-1-2 CCC) | STATISTICS | SCHEDULE

The Gulls come into the CCC championship game after defeating No. 4 seed Wentworth on Tuesday, Oct. 31. Diego Maillo (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) gave the Gulls a 1-0 lead, but Wentworth was able to tie up the game and send it into overtime. Less than one minute into the overtime period, Evan Couchot (Mason, Ohio) tallied the game-winner to send Endicott to the championship contest. The Gulls are currently led offensively by Couchot, who has 11 goals and four assists on the season for 26 points.

NO. 2 GORDON (13-5-1, 6-2-1 CCC) | STATISTICS | SCHEDULE

The Fighting Scots advanced to the championship game after a 1-0 win over No. 3 seed and reigning tournament champion Western New England on Tuesday, Oct. 31. Scoring for Gordon was Jerry Williams (Royersford, Pa.). The Fighting Scots are led offensively by Josh Cochran (Bellville, Ohio), who has six goals and one assist for a total of 13 points.  

WHAT'S NEXT

The winner of the contest will earn the CCC Championship title and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III men's soccer tournament.
