NEWPORT, R.I. – Sophomore forward Evan Couchot (Mason, Ohio) scored twice, while older brother Conner Couchot (Mason, Ohio) buried one goal of his own to lead the Endicott men's soccer team past Salve Regina, 3-1, in a conference matchup on Tuesday evening.
After a scoreless first half, the Couchot brothers took over the contest midway through the second stanza with three straight goals over a 13:11 span to secure the win for Endicott.
E. Couchot got the Gulls on the board first with his ninth tally of the season off a service from Brendan McLaughlin (Colchester, Conn.) near Endicott's bench at the 60:38 mark and followed up with another strike at 70:10. Shortly after (73:49), C. Couchot made it 3-0 when he headed home a throw-in by McLaughlin, who picked up his second assist of the day on the goal.
Meanwhile, Will Manuel (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) stopped two shots in net in to improve to 7-3-3 on the season.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Gulls are now 11-6-3 overall against Salve Regina in the all-time series.
- E. Couchot's 10 goals this season lead the team.

- Michael Payan (Fort Lee, N.J.) made three saves in the loss (10-4-1).
- The Seahawks won the corner kicks matchup, 7-3.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (10-4-3, 6-1-2 CCC) and Salve Regina (11-4-3, 5-3-1 CCC) will both await word on their playoff seedings from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Office later tonight. The CCC quarterfinal rounds will be played this Saturday at the highest seed.
