2017 MEN'S SOCCER SEASON PREVIEW VIDEO

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer team is ready to take the pitch and build upon last season's success to earn a shot at the program's first Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) title this fall. Back-to-back Coach of the Year award winner Joe Calabrese returns several key players and also welcomes 13 new faces to the team. The Gulls are less than a week away from their first contest on Friday, Sept. 1 against MIT in Hempstead Stadium.

RETURNING CAST: Several All-CCC Team selections return for Endicott, including 2016 Rookie of the Year Evan Couchot (Mason, Ohio). As a freshman, he led the team in scoring with 11 goals and four assists for 26 points. Senior defender Ryan Cohane (Easton, Conn.) earned All-CCC First Team honors in the back field as he helped lead a defense that allowed the fewest goals among all conference teams (13) which included 11 shutouts. The Gulls will also look to senior Dario Neukom (Palma de Mallorca, Spain) to build upon last season's 15 point (5 G, 5A) performance to help increase the team's offensive output.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Endicott will be in Hempstead Stadium more often than not this season as the Gulls have 12 home games on the schedule. The Gulls open play with the North Shore Invitational, hosting MIT on Friday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. and Montclair State on Sunday, Sept. 3 at 12 p.m. Conference play will start on Saturday, Sept. 16 with a 3:30 p.m. home contest versus Eastern Nazarene. The final regular season game will see the Gulls travel to Salve Regina on Tuesday, Oct. 24 for a 3 p.m. kickoff.

PRESEASON POLL: The Gulls were picked to finish first in the CCC Preseason Coaches' Poll, with 90 points and six first place votes.

YEAR IN REVIEW: In 2016, Endicott was the conference regular season champion and finished with an overall record of 12-5-3 and 8-1 in the CCC.
