CCC SEMIFINALS: No. 1 Endicott Hosts No. 4 Wentworth On Tuesday Evening

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer has advanced to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) semifinals for the third season in a row. The Gulls will host Wentworth on October 31.

THE MATCHUP: The Gulls currently have an overall record of 11-4-3 and finished with a 6-1-2 record in conference play. They will host fourth-seeded Wentworth on Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. in Hempstead Stadium. Previously, the two teams met on Wednesday, Oct. 18 and the Gulls recorded a 2-1 victory.

POSTSEASON HISTORY: This is the eighth straight season that Endicott has qualified for the conference tournament. Head coach Joe Calabrese looks to lead his squad to its first-ever CCC title in program history.

NO. 1 ENDICOTT (11-4-3, 6-1-2 CCC) | STATISTICS | SCHEDULE

The Gulls come into the CCC semifinal round after defeating No. 8 seed UNE on Saturday, Oct. 28. The game went into double-overtime and Brendan McLaughlin scored the golden goal on a header in the 101st minute of the game off a pass from Diego Maillo. The goal was McLaughlin's first of the season. Endicott is currently led offensively by Evan Couchot, who has 10 goals and three assists on the season for 23 points.

NO. 4 WENTWORTH (10-7-2, 5-2-2 CCC) | STATISTICS | SCHEDULE

The Leopards advanced to the semifinal round after a 2-1 win over No. 5 seed Salve Regina on Saturday, Oct. 28. Scoring for Wentworth were Noah Martins and Nathan Gosselin. Griffin Price leads the Leopards in scoring with 13 goals and 28 total points, while Emmett Basaca leads the team in assists with 13.

WHAT'S NEXT: The winner of the contest will move onto the CCC championship, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the highest remaining seed. The winner of the championship will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
