BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer team was handed a close 1-0 loss by Babson College on Tuesday night at Hempstead Stadium.
Both teams battled hard to find the net until Babson's Alex Crompton (Killington, Vt.) was able to land a header into the goal during the 64th minute to give the Beavers a 1-0 lead.
Endicott continued to press offensively and saw a few good looks on net, including a header by Conner Couchot (Mason, Ohio) that went just high, but the Gulls were not able to find the equalizer as time ran out in regulation.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Camden Stockdale (Durham, Conn.) made one save in net throughout the game.
- The Gulls held the 15-9 shot advantage.
- Ryan Cohane (Easton, Conn.), Brandon Haughton (Hartford, Conn.), Rieley Hoffman (Watertown, N.Y.), and C. Couchot paced the offense with two shots each.
FOR THE FOES
- James Takami (Kenmore, Wash.) improved to 3-5 on the season and made five saves.
- Noah Parker (Hampden, Maine) led the offense with four shots.

Endicott (6-2-2, 2-0-1 CCC) hosts Gordon for a conference matchup on Saturday, October 7 at 3:30 p.m. Babson (5-5-0, 0-3-0 NEWMAC) travels to Emerson for a 1 p.m. contest on Saturday, October 7.
