CCC SEMIFINALS: No. 1 Women’s Lacrosse Outlasts No. 3 Salve Regina, 14-4

BEVERLY, Mass. – The top-seeded Endicott women's lacrosse team defeated third-seeded Salve Regina, 14-4, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Semifinals on Wednesday night at Hempstead Stadium.

Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.) highlighted the Gulls on both ends by leading all scorers with a five-goal effort in addition to causing three turnovers. 

Alex Palermo (Reading, Mass.) and Katie Schenk (Southbury, Conn.) also recorded hat tricks, while Katy Garvin (Mansfield, Mass.) found the back of the net twice in the win.  

Carly Pierce (Exeter, N.H.) and Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.) rounded out the list of goal scores for the Blue and Green with one tally apiece. 

Defensively, KC O'Connor (Boston, Mass.) caused three turnovers, while Matilda Darrah (Dover, N.H.), and Jaira Paine (Granby, Conn.) both forced two turnovers. 

In goal, Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn.) made seven saves to improve to 9-7. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Endicott advances to the CCC Championship game for the seventh consecutive season. 
  • Napolitano notched a career-high in tallies (5). 
  • The Gulls are 31-1 in the all-time series versus the Seahawks. 

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (9-7) all host No. 2 Roger Williams in the CCC Championship game on Saturday, May 6 with a TBD start time. Salve Regina's season comes to a close at 9-8. .
