Women’s Lacrosse Upends UNE, 18-7

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's lacrosse team surged past the University of New England (UNE), 18-7, in conference action on Wednesday night at Hempstead Stadium.

Katy Garvin (Mansfield, Mass.) led all scorers with four tallies.

Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.) and Carly Pierce (Exeter, N.H.) both recorded hat tricks, while Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.), Alex Palermo (Reading, Mass.), and Leah Black (Cheshire, Conn.) all found the back of the net twice in the rout.

Clare Wendell (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and Jennifer McLaughlin (Westford, Mass.) rounded out the list of goal scorers with one tally each.

In goal, Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn.) stopped nine shots to move her record to 6-5 on the season.

Endicott led 11-3 at halftime and scored six unanswered goals spanning from the second quarter (5:22) to the third (10:54) to run away with the victory.

  • Endicott improved to 4-0 at home this season.

Endicott (6-5, 4-0 CCC) travels to Nichols on Saturday, April 15 at 1 PM. UNE (9-4, 3-2 CCC) visits Roger Williams this Saturday at 12 PM.
