Women’s Lacrosse Handles Gordon, 17-6

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's lacrosse team defeated Gordon, 17-6, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Wednesday evening at Hempstead Stadium.

The Gulls led 11-2 in the contest, which included a 7-0 differential at the end of the first, and never looked back in the matchup.

Carly Pierce (Exeter, N.H.) paced the Gulls with five goals and two assists for a career-high seven points. 

Alex Palermo (Reading, Mass.) also registered a hat-trick, while Bailey Sheehan (Pomfret, Conn.) and Jaira Paine (Granby, Conn.) both potted two goals apiece.

Katy Garvin (Mansfield, Mass.)Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.), Clare Wendell (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.)Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.), and Leah Black (Cheshire, Conn.) rounded out the list of goal scorers with solo tallies, respectively.

In goal, Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn.) made seven saves in 45 minutes of action to improve to 8-7 on the season.

Kaitlin Bressette (Annadale, N.J.) finished out the last 15 minutes with one save. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE 

  • Endicott caps off the regular season with a perfect 8-0 record in league play for the first time since 2019. 
  • The Gulls are 23-12 in the all-time series versus the Fighting Scots (8 straight wins). 
  • Endicott is 6-1 at home this season.

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (10-7, 8-0 CCC) has earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming CCC Women's Lacrosse Tournament and has earned an automatic bye in the semifinals, which the Gulls will host on Wednesday, May 3 (time TBD). Gordon (7-9, 2-6 CCC) will await its playoff seeding later tonight after the remainder of the league's games go final. .
